Election Integrity

With the expansion of mail in voting we need to make sure the appropriate guardrails are put in place to ensure the integrity of our elections.

While election fraud may never be completely eliminated, it is our duty as elected officials to make sure our elections are as fair as possible.  I firmly believe the best path to securing election integrity is to implement a voter ID process.  I’m proud to have co-sponsored legislation in the past to implement voter ID laws in Maryland and I will continue to do so.

During the 2021 legislative session I introduced the election integrity act, which would limit the number of ballots an individual can place in a voting drop box.  Ballot harvesting has no place in the State of Maryland and the laws should be clear to reflect that.
